The Cathedral Church of Christ the Savior in Pristina (new), is a single-dome building with the ground plan in the form of an inscribed cross and a trefoil. Its typological definition, an edifice of central type, was already known in the earliest period of the Middle Ages, especially during the Byzantine epoch. The author of the project is Spasoje Krunic.

In the presence of the British KFOR in Pristina Albanian terrorists tried to set the church on fire, and there was an attempt of mining. Explosive charges were planted in four places inside. Only two devices went off. The structure was seriously shaken.
